Rachel slept over with me at the dog-sit house. We’re two saplings in a cranberry bog—cream and burgundy Persian carpet, cherry coffee table, Art Deco lamps. Completely absent, thinking of the dogs and the new house, but we watched an hour of King Kong on the laptop, and ate popcorn from home.
