Bike, Foot, Jack Triathlon

September 9, 2023, Saturday—

I started with five hours of sleep, nervous about biking to work (Rachel has the car).
Then, I biked to the warehouse (one hour), but
got to choose kit pick, which let me stand (vs. run) for six hours, yessssss,
until Primo collared me to pick 90 last cases,
though, the Vocollect said it was 223. WTF? However, it was only 90.
Larry came to help, and I did my thing, sprinting six aisles, picking, for him to build the pallet.
Then, I biked home in the October (September) rain
to eat half a frozen pizza, and cozily finish What We Do in the Shadows Season 5. Yesssss.

I listened to “Make Your Bed” by Admiral William McRaven, US Navy (ret), this morning, and interestingly this detail stood out—don’t give up, even if you’re a SEAL recruit practicing sabotaging boats, and it gets even darker and harder to see directly under the boat.

Never give up, even when your boss tells you to pick 223!
Not even when it’s darkest under the boat.
