2016 is in the Wind
The four cartoons I posted that year.

I drew four cartoons in 2016, encouraged by my shameless fellow newbies on Instagram. I drew in sketchbooks around New York City, took photos of the pages, traced in Illustrator, colored in GIMP, and had no idea what layers were, ha ha.
Obviously, still figuring it all out.
I *only* drew four cartoons because, shortly after I took the golden Times Square photo in June, half a year after my mom died, I started a very long, extended panic attack. If you’ve experienced this, or ever do, please remember, it gets better.
I proposed to my now-wife (behind the flower) in 2016, too, and gathered the moxie to make a sign for our office door that gently suggested we resist like Satan. So, yeah, 2016. It was a year.
